Come as you are.
Come as you are.

Hi! I’m Kelly, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor. I opened my private practice in the spring of 2023 after spending two years at a group practice. I’m trained in EMDR Therapy through EMDR Consulting, INC., an EMDRIA-approved program, and have been a licensed therapist since 2021. I draw from a variety of approaches to meet my clients’ needs, including mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, somatic tracking, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Beyond my private practice work, I have training and experience in addiction recovery, sexual assault support, inpatient care, and group practice settings.
I’m also a proud member and ally of the Queer Community. Come as YOU are!

I believe that in order to heal from trauma, we must heal the root of it. It is imperative to assess belief systems when doing trauma work, as traumatic events often affect the way we view ourselves, others, and the world around us.
~
Trauma resolution involves many aspects, however, being witnessed by another person through our process of profound shedding, re-wiring, and re-learning, is the crux of a corrective experience, thus providing an avenue to continued healing. I see you. I hear you. I am holding space for your pain and for your healing.
~
Healing is not linear; healing is cyclical. Healing can be a slow, painstaking process, and pain can be an initial motivator for change. Healing can also be fun!
~
The “parts” of our personality that present as maladaptive are actually protectors. These are not “bad parts” of you, rather, they are simply misguided. Healing from trauma looks like identifying, understanding, and working with our “parts” in different ways. When we bring our “parts” online, we open up our inner world, creating intimacy and empowerment from within.
~
Being curious about ourselves, our patterns, and our conditioning as the result of trauma is an essential process that can empower us to create the lives we want!
~
Traumatic events are stored in our bodies and nervous systems. Traumatic events don't live in our minds, as the stories do.
It's not about what happened to us, it's about how is landed.

Being a therapist isn’t just a job for me. I know what it’s like to feel alone, to struggle, and to feel unsafe. I’ve experienced feeling unlovable, battling low self-esteem, and lacking personal boundaries. I’m a survivor, and there have been times when I’ve questioned whether life was worth living. Because I understand what it’s like to hurt, sometimes for long stretches, I can connect with my clients authentically.
In sessions, you’ll see my human side—I’ll laugh, joke, and cry with you. I’ll encourage you and help you tap into your own inner healer so you can be your own hero, just as I’ve learned to do. Healing doesn’t come from outside; everything you’re looking for is already within—you’re just learning a new way to access it.
